“HOW ARE YOU A BODYBUILDER AND A VEGETARIAN?”

I get that question a lot and love every time I get it. Yes, I am a vegetarian and also an IPE Natural bodybuilding pro.
I’m not going to lie, at times getting the right carbs, proteins, and fats without meat have been tough but thankfully there are a lot of plant-based foods out there that make it easier. 
People ask why I became a vegetarian and there are two factors; genetics and of course, animals.
 

There is a lot of heart disease, diabetes and just overall poor health in my family tree, so I am going to fight like hell to beat it. Yes, I know you can’t beat genetics, but I am not going down without a heck of a fight. 

I decided that not eating meat would give me an advantage in this fight so it was easy for me to eliminate it from my diet. 

The second reason and probably the real reason is my love of animals. Who are we to determine that an animal should be used for food? It sounds odd but how is a cow, chicken fish or pig beneath us? 

There are quite a few people I know who I’d much rather replace with a cow or pig but some time along the way, someone determined we should eat pigs and other animals.

Yes, I get it, back in the day you had to, well it’s not “back in the day” anymore. I don’t look down on people because they eat meat, trust me, I’d love to have a pulled pork sandwich or a grilled chicken breast, but I just morally can’t do it anymore.

Besides, air fried tofu marinated in soy sauce is absolutely amazing!
